With school starting tomorrow, I thought I would just do a little summer recap. What better way to start than with a picture of Sylvan in a swim cap. (does anyone else see where Ivy gets her ideas about style?)
We began our summer with a visit from Grandma and Grandpa Lunt. They came to help out while the older boys and I went to camp. Nate went to Scout camp, Wesley went up north and did some rapelling and hiking, Edge had a really hard time adjusting to life in a condo on the beach in California. Don't ask me how that counts as camp-I think they did a service project while they were there.
Before Grandma and Grandpa left we went to the Arboritum near Globe.
Edge and Wesley spent the first 6 weeks of the break in Summer School. Nate and Eli spent the first 6 weeks perfecting their Jedi skills, which, as everyone knows are WAY more important than all that silly Geometry.

Ivy picked Red Robin for her birthday dinner, because they have great arcade games-I mean-because she LOVES the tower of onion rings.

Swim and Dive Team were so much fun we hated to see them end-- especially those of us who sat at the pool for two hours EVERY morning watching practice. That was HARD work.
Eli was forced to make ramen noodles at gunpoint. Even though the pressure was great the ramen turned out fabulous, as usual. He's getting his applications ready for Iron Chef.
We played in the rain.
You might not be able to tell, but this is Wesley and me learning how to Swing Dance. I was a natural. ha!ha!ha!ha!
Isaiah came from Utah and stayed with us while Ivy went to Utah and had fun with her Lunt cousins. She spent a week there and had a GREAT time.
Edge cooked. Something besides Totinos frozen pizza. He actually- gasp- used a recipe! And it was tasty, even Brandon liked it!
Brandon and Eli spent HOURS on the trampoline.
Ivy impressed us with her fashion confidence while Ella impressed us with her flexibility.
It has been a great summer. Hard to believe it's over. We spent the last week buying Camp Rock school supplies and looking for the ultimate Skinny Jeans in an effort to ensure academic success.
Coming next Sunday-Back to School: A Tale of Triumph and Sorrow.

First, thank you for all of the pictures, it's almost like seeing everyone except it's nothing like that and leaves me feeling rotten about living in a far away humid state.
Sorry, I meant, what is that ladder being used for? Do they climb that ladder and jump on the tramp?
Secondly, I too LOVE red robin and their towering onion rings and onions straws on burgers, yum. I wish we could go there for my birthday dinner.
Thirdly and so unimportant I can't believe I am even bringing it up, but we have that very same spectacular colander, just another way we are SO alike.
Fourthly, you must send us that recipe.
And Finally, tell everyone you know and love that we miss and love them, even the ones we don't know and love, go ahead it will probably make them feel better.
Until next Sunday or something really exciting,
alexis
The ladder is the temporary way to get to the deathtrap--I mean treehouse. We're careless but not careless enough to let them jump from outrageous heights to the trampoline. We do however encourage them to jump on it while brandishing "sharp" plastic swords.
That colander was my mom's when we were growing up, I don't know how I ended up with it, but Tupperwear must be made out of Kevlar, it lasts forever.
Which recipe? Eli's secrets to great ramen, or Edge's cookies that were not made out of chicken nuggets but Brandon ate them anyway?
I don't care for Ramen I meant the Great Cookie Recipe. And I think maybe that's where we got our colander, I have no idea where it came from otherwise, I actually have like six colanders but we use that one for mac n cheese.
We request pictures of the Death Trap.
