City Dive Meet

Tonight was the City Championship Dive Meet.  Eli has been diving for a few years now and has always made his way to the final 8.

This year he came in 2nd place out of all the divers his age (11-12) in The City of Mesa League.

As you can see from the picture below, all that business about a Speedo helping you dive better is simply nonsense. The top two divers are wearing loose fitting boardshorts, not only do they dive well, but they were able to retain their pre-teen dignity.

Like the true mother of a champion I am, I forgot to take my camera to any swim or dive meets this entire season, so these triumphant memories were captured with my cell phone. I know, I'm pathetic.

It's Eli's Birthday!

Holy cow! I really cannot believe he is 12 already. It's so sad that this will be his last birthday, because there is NO way I'm letting him turn into a teenager.

Edge sent a video from the MTC, and even though it's sideways and I don't have the skills required to turn it, I'm posting it.

June Update

Edge and Ivy both had birthdays, Eli and Wesley went to scout camp, Swim and Dive team are in full swing, Nate is going to summer school, we've had friends and family in town, and the summer is flying by. 

Ivy is 10 now, it's hard to believe.

Her favorite gift came in from Aunt Alexis and Uncle Todd.  I think she said "awesome" about 20 times as she was opening the package.

The night before Edge shipped out to the MTC a friend from out ward came over to take a few pictures of our family since it might be a while before we're all together at one time again. I was so thrilled when she offered that I completely forgot that Eli was at scout camp. So she took pictures of almost all of us together. We're considering having him photoshopped in.

Wesley went to camp and got in touch with nature.

I have no idea.......

He also had his yearbook photo taken last week. 

Apparently that Deb girl from Napoleon Dynamite works at the studio.
