Long time no update!

It's been forever since we blogged about our exciting lives. I'm going to try to do a little catching up today, then later in the week Eli and Ivy have field trips to post about. In a few days you should know more than you ever wanted about our day to day exsistence.
*
We had a few people over to watch the super exciting Super Bowl with us. Of all our guests this one was our favorite. This is Walter, Brittny's baby. He came with Bill and Marianne and we all spent more time playing with him than watching football.
Less than a week after Roxanne's untimely passing I was conned into taking in another dog for a two week trial. I'm not going to go into the unsavory details, but things didn't work out and we are once again dog free. The bottom line is, Roxanne is a hard act to follow. A dog like that doesn't come along very often.
This is Wesley telling me I can't take his picture.
This is Wesley saying "Oh my GOSH! Get your stupid camera away from me!"
This is Wesley saying "Oh, now I suppose you're going to put this on the dumb BLOG!!"
This is Wesley saying "Fine, take my picture, but you better not show it to anyone!"
Wesley is such a kidder.

Eli has moved up to the next level of slave training, known in parenting circles as "Lawn and Landscape Torture, technique #46". He now knows how to use the weedeater. Next month he will be starting chainsaw training.
It's not very thrilling, but that's all we've got for now.

Roxanne

I feel silly writing a doggy obituary, but just to keep everyone in the loop I thought I should tell you we lost Roxanne last weekend.--Not in the way my Granny kept losing Bob (her second husband) all those times. Anyone who has seen her lately knows she hasn't looked good for a while, the sagging, the balding, the stinking. The photo at the top was taken on a good day. We'll miss her, she was a great dog.

Please don't send flowers.
